I’m about to head out for my second day (of three) at Disney World with my family. I thought I’d take the opportunity to once again highlight the amazing 3D models that Google has built for Disney World.
While it was certainly magnificent when it first came out, it’s only getting better with time. Google Earth 5.1’s speed improvements made it easier to use, and the faster hardware we all tend to get makes it even better. If you have a SpaceNavigator to fly around with, the experience is simply amazing.
Before we left on the trip, my girls (ages 3 and 6) spent a good deal of time with me on the computer. We flew around the park quite a bit, checked out the castle, scoped out some good rides, and even looked for the best place to get sugary treats!
My oldest daughter enjoyed pulling up the “Disney World Highlights” tour
on EarthSwoop, as it gave her an easy way to check out the sights.
Even though this is my first trip to the park, I already feel like I know my way around! I’m sure we’ll have fun afterwards looking at the places we went and starting to plan our next visit to the park.
